A collection of ten traditional short shorts from countries throughout Asia translated to Sgaw Karen. This 52 page book was done as part of a project with the students of PDC in Mae Ra Ma Lueng refugee camp, Mae Hong Son province. Some of these folk tales were translated from English by the students of PDC.

These light-hearted stories have become a favorite of the Drum local staff and are sure to provide hours of entertainment and help develop the joy of reading among the students in the camps.

An original storybook that is based on the Choose Your Own Adventure Stories" format. In these books, children are lead through a fantastic tale of adventure where they take the role of the main character in the story. As they read along, the reader is periodically asked to choose between several options as to what they would like to do. Depending on their choice, they are guided to a different scenario and thus "choose their own adventure. The outcome of the story depends on the reader's choices so the story can change with each reading. This book includes original illustrations created by one of Drum's local staff.
 
2002/14          Our Book of Child Rights [Sgaw Karen]
This is the translation into Sgaw Karen of the colorful picture book developed by the Human Rights Education Programme in Pakistan. It is based on the Convention on the Rights of the Child and is intended to be used by students and teachers as an introduction to children's rights and responsibilities. The text is suitable for young children, which illustrates each of the major areas of child rights (education, health, play, safety, etc.). Basic questions for discussion accompany each right, which can be used by the teacher or parent.
